How to Export to PPT and Why You Shouldn't

We provide the option to export your Beautiful.ai presentations to an editable PowerPoint file. Which means you get Beautiful.ai’s smart technology without skipping a beat in your current workflow. 

Why you might export to PowerPoint, and why you shouldn’t

You may know and love Beautiful.ai, but your corporate tech stack requires you to work in PowerPoint. While we’d love for you to convince your boss to make the switch, we have a quick solution that gives you the best of both worlds. Our export to PowerPoint functionality gives you the easy, beautiful design you crave without straying from corporate guidelines. Which means you can create stunning decks in Beautiful.ai, and present them in the Microsoft software. 

This helps fill a major gap for non-designers who need more design support than what PowerPoint offers.

For example, you may be working in Beautiful.ai because you need the design automation, but your conference requires you to present in PowerPoint. Or maybe external partners restrict you to using PowerPoint for client-facing decks, but you want something more than what traditional presentation software can offer. Whatever your use case, we unlocked a way for you to have your cake and eat it too. 

However, it’s important to keep in mind that Beautiful.ai and PowerPoint are not one in the same. While we make it easy to export an editable PowerPoint file, you might lose some of the Beautiful.ai magic in the process. Exported slides won’t have audio files attached, and any animations in your Beautiful.ai deck won’t transfer over to PowerPoint. 

Exporting to an editable PowerPoint is a good solution in a pinch, but for the best experience from beginning to end we recommend designing and presenting in Beautiful.ai. 

Exporting an editable PowerPoint file

If your Beautiful.ai deck is done, but you need to present in PowerPoint, here’s what you need to do:

1. To export the entire deck at once open up the presentation you wish to export.
2. Next, click Actions at the top left panel.
3. Select the Export Presentation tab and choose Editable PowerPoint.
4. Click Export to save a copy of the editable PPT file to your device. 

An exporting progress box should appear. Once the export is complete, it should download automatically.

To export a single slide as an editable PowerPoint, follow these three steps:

1. click the More option that appears on the left or right.
2. A pop-up window will launch and you can select the Export Slide button.
3. Then, choose Export Slide to PPT.

Once the export is complete, the slide— or slides— it should download automatically.

Your PPT file is fully editable, so you can make any last minute changes or edits in the PowerPoint platform.
